Trump meets with seven US technology executives and will lift the ban on Huawei

The seven companies are: Micron Technology, Western Digital, Qualcomm, Google, Cisco Systems, Intel and Broadcom. They asked the US Department of Commerce to make a licensing decision to sell to Huawei in a timely manner, and Trump agreed.

US President Trump met with the CEOs of seven US technology companies on Monday. At the meeting, the CEOs of seven technology companies said that they would ask the US Department of Commerce to issue licenses for the supply of these companies to China.

According to a Reuters quote from the White House, “the CEOs of various companies expressed their strong support for Trump’s policies, including restrictions on Huawei’s participation in US telecommunications equipment procurement and sales to Huawei for national security reasons.” The CEO of Home Technology asked the US Department of Commerce to make a licensing decision to sell to Huawei in a timely manner. Trump agreed and thus there was no further discussion.
