Regarding Huawei’s special license, the US Department of Commerce said this.

US Commerce Secretary Ross said that he has received more than 50 special licenses to do business with Huawei, but he expects to receive more applications.

The reference news network reported on August 1 that foreign media reported that US Secretary of Commerce Ross said during his visit to Brazil on July 30 that the US government may respond to applications for special licenses to sell products to China Huawei next week.

Reuters reported on July 30 that Ross said he would stay in Argentina and Peru in the next few days. He is expected to make a decision on licensing when he returns to the United States.

According to the report, the decision on licensing will provide guidance for US companies that urgently need clear policies.

Ross said that he has received more than 50 special licenses to do business with Huawei. However, he expects to receive more applications.

“The President and I met with representatives of the supply chain industry a week ago. Many representatives said they have not submitted their applications,” Ross said.

According to an anonymous report, the analyst pointed out that on the issue of the application for a permit, the US government did not list the specific conditions. Additionally, it was not clear which product met the eligibility for lifting the ban.
